Hello everyone. Apparently I am the first person to post under this heading. My little sister is a single mom of 2 little boys. She works for a small business that does not provide health benefits. The pay is decent but her medical bills and her prescription bills are high. After reading your post I thought I would go ahead and contact these patient assistance companies to see if I qualify for any of the free medication programs that are out there. I am waiting to hear from them. I will let you know what happens.

I have actually known about patient assistance programs for some time now.
My mother is elderly and has quite a few health problems. She lives on a limited income, and her prescription meds were costing her a small fortune. It was actually one of her doctors that recommended a particular patient assistance program that he believed my mom would be eligible to receive. We contacted the patient assistance program that he recommended. I helped her fill out the application and about 2 -3 weeks after, she learned that she was accepted. It was at that point, that I started to do some investigating on my own.
